What is the Energy Manager 2.0?

Local control for PV, heat pump, chargers and home battery.

WARP Energy Manager 2.0 DIN-rail module with colour display

The WARP Energy Manager 2.0 is the intelligent control centre for home energy management. Depending on the current dynamic electricity price, the PV excess or a power limit under §14a EnWG, it controls heat pumps (SG-Ready), up to 64 WARP4 Chargers, a home battery and other loads.

All control and data logging runs locally on the Energy Manager, not in the cloud. Hardware and software are fully open source and developed and built in Germany.

FAQs

More questions?

Does the WARP Energy Manager also work without internet access/cloud? expand_more
All control and analysis runs locally on the Energy Manager. Functions such as the solar forecast, the use of dynamic electricity prices and the use of the apps require an internet connection.
Do I have to use every function? expand_more
No. You can enable individual building blocks, for example dynamic tariff with a heat pump only, and extend later.
Which heat pumps are supported? expand_more
All heat pumps with an SG-Ready interface. The Energy Manager can request extended operation, keep normal operation, or block the heat pump.
How many WARP Chargers can I connect? expand_more
Up to 64 WARP4 Chargers in a group, with no additional charge management hardware. Static and dynamic modes are both supported.
Which inverters and meters are supported? expand_more
Over 100 devices from common manufacturers. See the full compatibility list on our solutions page.
Can the WARP Energy Manager also control my home battery? expand_more
Reading data from many battery systems works today. Active control (charge / discharge) is currently being built up, first devices are already supported. See the full compatibility list on our solutions page.
Where do I install the Energy Manager? expand_more
In the distribution unit on a DIN rail (4 TE wide). Connectors for network, relays, inputs and Modbus RTU (RS485) sit directly on the module.
How is my consumption data recorded? expand_more
The WARP Energy Manager records consumption data exclusively locally on the device. No data is transmitted to a cloud or similar service.
Is the hardware open source? expand_more
Yes. Both the hardware design files and the firmware are fully open source. Custom extensions and integrations are explicitly encouraged.
